Guernsey Project

Brady Salon, Guernsey

Datum Floor layers do not usually frequent high class hairdressing salons, but on this occasion they had good reason to!

The architects for the new BRADY hairdressing salon in St Peter Port, Guernsey appointed Datum Industrial Flooring Ltd to install a self smoothing epoxy floor in pure white.  The clean, modern minimalist look, with the floor complimenting the rest of the decor is superb and a credit to our floor layers for achieving exactly what the designers required.

The contract involved preparing the new existing floor which was 18 mm marine plywood, priming and applying mesh 'bandages' to the joints and then laying the 200 square meters of self-smoothing epoxy finish at 3 mm thick all without a visible join or blemish of course.

Kerry Aptunion, Oakhampton

At Kerry Aptunion the fruit preparation process area floor had ended its useful life and needed to be refurbished.

This was carried out between Friday afternoon and Saturday with Sunday allowed for curing. The existing defective floor was hacked off, the underlying concrete prepared and then a TG69 Polyurethane screed was installed.

This 'fast track' installation was another example of a Datum-Resin Surfaces special project were despite difficult preparation and a short window of availability the contract was completed competently and on time.

Involvement Packaging Ltd, Hyde

Involvement Packaging have acquired new premises and needed to upgrade the floor at very short notice.

The Datum - Resin Surfaces special project team completed 5,400 sq.ms of coating to the warehouse floor by vacuum shot-blasting and the application of two coats of red Resuseal WB Epoxy Coating.

The ceramic tiles in the toilet block were prepared by hand controlled diamond grinding and a decorative coating was applied.

The entire project was completed in five working days.
